Born and raised in Kansas, my mother was constantly doing something different with our home. She never EVER bought anything full price, and was always doing something crafty with me. I'd like to think she instilled clearance shopping in me. I refuse to buy anything full price, and if I can make something for 1/4th the price I intend to make it!
If I had a dollar for every time a friend said, "Your house looks like it's out of a magazine" I'd be rich! What people never realized, is that my mother paid next to nothing for her decor! Watching her do that, I realized if she can do it, I can too! And I'd love more than anything to teach others how to do it too!
My sophomore year in high school I met the love of my life, Joshua. Then the summer after my senior year we tied the knot, and off to Florida I went! He is currently serving in the US Navy, and I've never been so proud of anything in my life. He is such an amazing man, and loves serving his country. He has been my rock, the sun that makes me shine, the milk to my cookies, and the icing on my cupcake! (: Basically, I love him a whole lot!
